Zoe Bacon

In the first three photos, we are looking at a kitchen remodel done completely by the artist, except for the electrical work and the plumbing. The band of glass tile surrounds the space and is mated to large panels of a warm granite that influenced the glass color. The glass tiles form a continuous, sinuous stream-bed motif, which can be seen in more detail in the photo below. The client wanted to retain original cabinets, but refinish them. Bacon removed all exposed surfaces for sandblasting and painting. Cutouts in the solid sheets of stone for the sink and stovetop were done in situ.
